I picked up my WorldWatch by Yes a year ago on eBay. I always appreciated the idea of the YES watches. It looks like this is the 10 year anniversary of the WorldWatch as YES has released a Worldwatch II

On the way home from the kite festival I stopped in at the Timex outlet in Waterbury to browse. Found this Titanium 75 lap Ironman triathlon on clearance for 30 bucks. (looks like 100-120 around town and at timex site) I was a little worried that these old eyes wouldn't be able to handle the display (without glasses) but its' not a problem at all. Super light weight and very comfortable. Love the deployment. Love the Indiglo. here are some details at the Timex site for model T5J661

my West Coast time WCT-5513 on a zulu. I have to say this is very comfortable.

This watch was made in conjunction with the respected Albert Wajs of Switzerland of Ollech and Wajs who have manufactured durable and collectible military watches for over 40 years.

It is refitted with a domed genuine sapphire CUSTOM ground crystal made for this watch - convex under NOT flat like a cheap crystal. It has a firm uni-directional ratcheting bezel.(not inexpensive friction which slips. I think it is a little too firm and will try fix that in the future)


This watch has as its power plant a new ETA 2824-2 automatic self-winding movement which is shockproof and all Swiss made.

so I bought one. It's smaller (than the real thing across all dimensions) and the bracelet isn't as nice as the real one (put it on a velcro strap anyway). But it's accurate, comfortable to wear and it has INDIGLO. That helps these old eyes. I've used the Diver bezel twice this week to time food on the grill. This I love.

So for less than $40 USD, I think a good beater. I may still lust for other, more expense watches like maybe an Omega SM 2254 or 5513 Rolex on NATO.....whatever. This works and I'd never spend real money on those kind of watches anyway, at least not today ;-)
